Pupils are often overpowered by the exams pressure building upon them. Numerous pupils normally begin studying one or two weeks prior to the exam. Others indulge in less sensible pursuits like caffeine-boosting, smoking or excessive television watching–all done to alleviate the tension.Others survive on little or no sleep and end up giving a less than satisfactory performance in school.Such students unquestionably need a modification in their study habits. So, how do we go about it?
Get hold of your course curriculum. This will help them evaluate their knowledge base of the subject on a regular basis and also aid them to know when they should start studying before the tests.
Prior to the exam week, make a list of subjects you’re having problems with and ask for assistance from your teachers.
Coffee and cigarettes don’t do anything for you. They are a decided no-no. Caffeine is known to cause wakefulness which in turn leads to fatigue and a tired brain can not perform at its prime level when necessary.
Watching a little TV is good but it should be pre-decided for how long TV will be ON. Surfing aimlessly through channels and broadcasts often results to wasting of time which is of the utmost importance during exams.
Students should choose a healthy diet before the examinations. Eating lots of cereals and drink fresh fruit juices is often recommended.
Make a schedule which allows you to study and leave some free time to indulge in a athletics or any physical activity.
